OPEN UP 2008/2009

After eight varied and colourful Islands the exceptional curatorial year of the TQW, the 2008 / 2009 Open Up Season, is coming to an end. Once again we would like to invite you to discover the last two Islands together with us: Island No. 9 will deal with the instructions for action in art, and with Island No. 10, we as the Tanzquartier Wien team would like to stage a farewell celebration together with you to mark the conclusion of Sigrid Gareis’s term as founding director.

Artists do publicity work for the TQW – this was our slogan for the public communication of the house in this season, which is going into the last round with the artist and fashion designer Jakob Lena Knebl. Knebl questions body norms and concerns herself critically with advertising stereotypes.
